JillGranholm

Jill began playing brass at the age of 5 and piano at the age of 9. She has performed in many brass bands and accompanied various singing groups all across Massachusetts, New York, and New Jersey. She was the resident accompanist for the elite Territorial Music Camp Chorus  for 3 years and for the Hempstead Corps Songsters for 2 years. 

Jill graduated with a Bachelor's degree in Music Education with a focus on piano from Bucknell University, Cum Laude. While there, she studied piano privately under Lois Syard and Barry Hannigan. She also had a rare opportunity to study abroad for 5 1/2 months in Ghana, Africa, studying African Art and Culture (specifically African music, art, and dance). 

After graduation, Mrs. Granholm had an opportunity to work with the New Jersey Symphony Orchestra and attended masterclasses under piano 'greats' such as Bobby McFerran and Jonathan Ball. 

Jill received her Master's degree in Education from the University of Pheonix, Magna Cum Laude.
